Use-Based Infrastructure (UBI)

The traditional method of acquiring hardware and software takes the form of either direct purchase or leasing. In the technology area, changes occur rapidly making traditional options a little less attractive.

Simply put UBI is a use-only infrastructure solution. It is "Infrastructure As A Service".

The UBI program covers items deployed specifically for the benefit of the client either at client location or our datacenter. For example, a client in a outsourcing agreement may opt for the deployment of a UBI Terminal Server for remote user access. Replacement, warranty, and upgrades are all included in the monthly fees.

For items included in the program, clients who qualify get:

• No upfront acquisition costs


• In some instances, the client may qualify for No upfront deployment cost


• Where applicable, replacement is provided on a cyclical basis, ensuring constantly refreshed systems, without ongoing capital investments

Currently included in the program are:

• Servers
• Desktops
• Terminals
• Some Software
• Voice Over IP Telephony Equipment for Our Hosted VOIP PBX Service

The UBI option is not available to all clients in all agreements. Determination of qualification is done on a case-by-case basis.
