So What's the Big Deal About Getting a Desktop Computer?
Computers are easy. All you have to do is purchase whatever is being offered at the best price today whether on the Internet or a local store. WRONG!

All desktops are not created equal! If you will consider limiting your use to typewriting, the strategy will work. But consider what happens when you are using more complex software. The requirements for a graphics station are different than the requirements for a Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) station, and both are different from a desktop used for actuarial calculations, scientific discovery, process monitoring, or major database work.
